Compared with the first edition, the second edition has made the following improvements:

1. Replace the single-chip microcomputer from CH552T to the lower-priced CH551G or CH552G. In the environment of rising chip prices, more commonly used chips will not be easily out of stock and will be cheaper.

2. Place all the components on the back of the PCB, with only the screen on the front.

3.PCB size reduction.

4. Replace the USB interface with USB-C.

5. Removed unnecessary components, leaving only the download button. When used with the download board, the download circuit can be soldered without soldering. You can download the circuit without soldering if you only burn the program once.

6. The 1602 backlight can also be used as a power indicator light, so the original power indicator light is removed.

7. Due to the reduced number of GPIOs, this version uses 4 lines to drive LCD1602.

8. Replace the host computer with the open source software LCD Smartie.

In addition, this version retains the UART pinout, but removes the level conversion circuit. The use of UART can be developed by yourself.

The program still simulates CH340 communication with the computer, and it is easier to find the driver.

The program source code and compiled program have been uploaded to the attachment. CH551G has passed the test, and CH552G should also have no problems.

LCD Smartie has uploaded the attachment. Select seetron.dll as the driver. Please refer to the figure below for the specific configuration.
