Modular PCB
Input voltage: 4.5-17v (12V recommended)
Output voltage: adjustable voltage (default setting 3.3v)
Output current: 3A (maximum 6A, large current requires sufficient heat dissipation)
Switching frequency: 200 kHz to 1.6 MHz switching frequency
Quiescent current 20ma
Load test output efficiency:
1A (90%), 2A (92.1%), 3A (91.7%)
The TPS54622 device is housed in a thermally enhanced 3.5mm × 3.5mm VQFN package and is a full-featured 17V 6A synchronous buck converter;
The device features high efficiency and integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, optimized for small designs.
Current mode control significantly reduces component count while further saving space by reducing the size of the inductor by selecting a high switching frequency.
The output voltage start-up ramp is controlled by the SS/TR pin, which supports both independent supply operation and tracking mode.
In addition, power sequencing can also be achieved by properly configuring the enable and open-drain power-good pins.
Cycle-by-cycle current limiting of the high-side FET protects the device during overload conditions, and low-side pull current limiting prevents runaway current and enhances the limiting effect.
In addition, a low-side sink current limit that turns off the low-side MOSFET is provided to prevent excessive reverse current.
When the overcurrent duration exceeds the preset time, the intermittent protection will be triggered.
Thermal hiccup protection disables the device when the die temperature exceeds the thermal shutdown temperature and re-enables the part after a built-in thermal shutdown hiccup time.
