The KITFS86SKTFRDMEM uses a QFN48 socket, allowing customers to easily configure the FS86 device range and have the flexibility to use all features of this device and perform measurements on major parts of the application. All voltage regulators are accessible via connectors. Non-user signals, such as DC/DC switching nodes, are mapped to test points. It is targeted at 12V automotive and 24V transport (trucks and buses) applications.
The KL25Z Freedom connected to the board is used in conjunction with the FS86 NXP GUI software to fully configure and control the FS86 SBC. The board can be used independently or controlled via USB interface.
The device can be easily placed on the socket for OTP simulation, functional testing or programming of OTP (One Time Programming) fuses. In addition to OTP programming, customers can test all functions (power delivery is limited due to the socket). No additional tools or boards are required for FS86 OTP programming.
