The following parameters are from the datasheet of ICL7660
Input voltage 1.5V~10V, output voltage -1.5V~-10V (ICL7660) or input voltage 1.5V~10V, output voltage -1.5V~-10V (ICL7660A).
Output current ≤40mA.
The output internal resistance is <150Ω (Vin=+2V), and the output internal resistance is <55Ω (Vin=+5V).
Conversion efficiency ≥74% (Vin=+5V).
When the input voltage is less than 3.5V, short the jumper (R1) to reserve the capacitor Cosc (C7) pad that reduces the oscillation frequency. Install it as needed. For details, see the chip's datasheet.
It is small in size and can be installed like a TO220 packaged three-pin device.
Suspected BUG tip: The capacitor can work normally when only three 10uF MLCCs are installed. It outputs negative voltage normally and does not generate heat. However, after installing the 47uF C3 at the output end, there is no output. Some chips will be so hot that they burn out. Find the reason. There is no description on the output capacitance limit in the chip datasheet. Or maybe there's something wrong with the chip I bought.
