Four 74hc595s control four digital tubes to display hours and minutes. The LED can be turned on and off to indicate the current seconds. There is a buzzer and clock module DS1302 to support setting an alarm clock. The time and LED patterns can be modified through the serial port or buttons. Since the digital tube module uses exactly 4 pins of HC595, I think it is okay to use the remaining 4. Exactly 4 pins can control the RGB light. The 4 pins can set the color of the RGB light arbitrarily. It can also be used as an alarm clock display and other functions.
