Mini Nixie Tube Boost Module

 
Overview

The power supply is a simple flyback topology. The main control uses TPS55330/55340, the transformer is TTRN2524C, and the turns ratio is 1:10.
The input voltage is 2.9-10V (10V is the rated voltage of the input ceramic capacitor. Replacing other capacitors with higher voltage resistance can increase the input voltage range. Please refer to the TPS55330 specification for details). The output voltage is about 162V (the lower feedback resistor is changed from 73.2K to 75K). It has an enable pin, a standby input current of about 2uA, and a no-load input current of 4.8mA.
The output current is about 5mA for a long time. If it exceeds 5mA, the heat is serious and the output may be automatically shut down. In the 5V input voltage test, the highest efficiency is reached when the output current is 1.6mA, about 75%. The 3.7V input voltage has measured several sets of data with similar efficiency to 5V, so it is not tested again.
It is easy to carry two Nixie tubes, which is an ideal choice for the Nixie tube watch boost solution.
There is still a lot of space left for the PCB external interface, which can be replaced with a 2.0 4P pin header or stamp hole design.
