DER-526 - 18 W Non-Dimmable Non-Isolated Buck-Boost LED Driver

Overview

This engineering report describes a non-dimmable, non-isolated buck-boost high-side LED driver designed to drive 75 V, 240 mA LED lamps over a wide input voltage range of 90 VAC to 308 VAC string. The LED driver uses LYT5228D in the LYTSwitch-5 series of devices. LYTSwitch-5 is a device series designed specifically for non-dimmable wide-range AC input LED drivers, with single-stage PFC functionality and precise LED current control. The DER-526 provides a single 18 W high density constant current output. The main design goals are high efficiency, low THD, high surge voltage immunity, low component count and low profile. This design is ideal for LED tube applications. This document contains power supply specifications, schematics, bill of materials, transformer documentation, printed circuit layout, design spreadsheet, and performance data.
