The design document describes an isolated high power factor (PF), thyristor-dimmable LED driver that can provide a rated voltage of 21 V and a rated current of 21 V to an LED string within an input voltage range of 90 VAC to 132 VAC. 530 mA driver. The topology used is a single-stage, flyback with power factor correction, which provides high efficiency, high power factor, low THD, isolation, low component count, and excellent triac dimming. LYTSwitch IC can also provide various complex protection functions, including automatic restart under loop open or output short-circuit conditions. This device can be used to achieve high power factor and low THD. Input overvoltage shutdown protection provides enhanced immunity to input faults and surges, and precise hysteretic thermal shutdown ensures that average PCB temperatures remain within safe limits under all conditions.
