A single-phase step-down converter provides an output voltage from 0.8V to 1.4V for load currents up to 20A

 
Overview
A single phase step-down converter that can accommodate up to 2 SO8FL dual asymmetric parts in parallel or 1 WDFN8 dual asymmetric part. It is recommended that only one type be used at a time, depending on customer needs. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB evaluation board is designed to operate from an input voltage in the range of 8V to 19V and provide an output voltage of 0.8V to 1.4V for load currents up to 20A. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB comes with a 5 V driver but can be modified to work with our 12V drivers, but only one type can be used at a time. Please note that the connection of DRVR_VCC is independent of 5VCC and VIN, especially when switching drivers. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB evaluation board has multiple test points clearly indicated that can be used to evaluate its performance in any specific application. If the user wants to operate at higher currents, the board can safely operate up to 20A without an external fan, so please blow a 200LFM fan on the board to assist in heat dissipation.
