Overview

1. IP5407 Chip Features:

Synchronous Switching Charge/Discharge: 2.1A/2.4A synchronous boost conversion, 2.0A synchronous switching charging, boost efficiency up to 93%, charging efficiency up to 91%, boost switching frequency 950KHz.
Charging: Automatically adjusts charging current to match adapter output capability. Supports 4.20V and 4.35V batteries.
Power Display: Supports 4, 2, and 1 LEDs
. Rich Power Display Functions: Built-in light driver, automatic detection of phone insertion and removal, integrated intelligent DCP for phone charging current identification, supports battery NTC.
Low Power Consumption: Fixed normally open 5V output, standby power consumption less than 150 μA.
Protection: Output overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuit protection; input overvoltage, overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent discharge protection; overall over-temperature protection.

The IP5407 adopts switching charging technology, providing an input current of 2.0A with a charging efficiency up to 91%. Built-in IC internal temperature and input voltage detection intelligently adjust the charging current. Under light load, the LED power indicator automatically turns off and maintains a 5V output voltage, entering sleep mode, with the quiescent current dropping below 150uA.

3. Boost Converter
The IP5407 integrates a 5V output, 2.1A load capacity boost DC-DC converter. It has a switching frequency of 950kHz, a 3.8V input, and an efficiency of 92% at 5V/2.1A. It features built-in soft start to prevent malfunctions caused by excessive inrush current during startup, and integrates overcurrent, short circuit, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection functions.
When the output current is less than 50mA, the power display turns off after 36 seconds, the output voltage is fixed at 5V, and it enters low-power mode.
The IP5407 will shut down the output if the BAT voltage is below 3.0V; normal output requires charging to recover the BAT voltage.

4. Charging
The IP5407 has a constant current, constant voltage lithium battery charger with a synchronous switching structure.
When the battery voltage is less than 3V, it uses 100mA trickle charging.
When the battery voltage is greater than 3V, constant current charging begins, at which point the VIN input current-limiting loop activates.
When the battery voltage is greater than 4.2V, constant voltage charging begins.
After charging is complete, if the battery voltage drops below 4.1V, charging restarts.
The IP5407 uses switching charging technology with a switching frequency of 500kHz, a charging current of 2.0A at the VIN input, and a maximum charging efficiency of 91%. It features adaptive power path management and supports simultaneous charging and discharging.

5. Button Functions

: Short press: Turns on the power indicator light; the light will automatically turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Long press: Turns the LED lighting on or off.

6. Intelligent Phone Charging Current Identification (DCP): The

IP5407 integrates intelligent phone charging current identification, automatically switching the D+ and D- line connections for connected mobile devices to accelerate charging. 7.
