This software uses the IP2721 to induce PD fast charging protocol. It supports USB Type-C/PD2.0/PD3.0 protocols. It can automatically detect whether the SRC terminal supports the requested voltage; if not, it will automatically downgrade the request. (The default voltage requested in the engineering sample is 20V; if the charging head does not support 20V, it will automatically request a lower voltage.)
The IP2366 is a lithium battery charge/discharge management chip integrating AFC/FCP/PD2.0/PD3.0/PD3.1 input/output fast charging protocols and a synchronous buck-boost converter. Its high integration and rich functionality require only one inductor to achieve synchronous buck-boost functionality, minimizing the need for external components and effectively reducing overall solution size and BOM cost. The IP2366 supports 2/3/4/5/6 series-connected battery cells, with customizable cell counts. It also supports custom lithium iron phosphate batteries with customizable full charge voltage. The IP2366's synchronous switching charge/discharge system supports charging power up to 100W and discharging power up to 140W, with customizable maximum charge/discharge power settings. The IP2366 incorporates IC temperature, battery NTC temperature, and input voltage control detection loops, intelligently adjusting the charging current based on different charger power requirements. The IP2366 supports a low-power mode, reducing standby current to 5μA when in low-power mode. After entering low-power mode, plugging in the charger will automatically wake it up for charging; discharging requires pressing the EN button to wake it up. The IP2366 has a built-in 14-bit ADC, which can accurately measure the charging input voltage and current, as well as the battery voltage and current. The IP2366 can obtain charging and discharging voltage, charging current, and other information via I2C.
