This reference design uses the MAX16834 to build a boost LED driver for driving long strings of LEDs. Suitable for LED backlighting of large-size LCD TVs or monitors, street lights and parking lot lighting.
V IN : 24VDC ±5% (1.22A)
V LED configuration: 23 LEDs in series (75V), 350mA.
Dimming: Pulse on-time can be as low as 3.33µs (dimming clock frequency = 100Hz, dimming ratio is 3000:1).
Note: This design circuit has been built and tested, but has not been tested in detail. There may be subtle differences in specific applications and need to be improved.
