SSD Power Supply Reference Design

TIDA-00399

Overview

The TIDA-00399 design implements a complete power supply solution for SSDs in an M.2 form factor. The TPS22954 load switch is used to limit inrush current, eliminating the need for a separate monitoring circuit at the system input. This design has been tested and includes GUI, demo and user guide.

● Size-optimized solution in M.2 form factor
● Complete power solution for standard 3.3V, 1.8V and 1V voltage rails (up to 3A)
● Slew rate control on all switching power rails to limit inrush current
● Programmable undervoltage and “power good” thresholds for real-world simulation
● Use software to provide overheating protection
● This design has been tested and includes GUI, demo and user guide
