Overview

"Let's have a happy game of chess after work~~~" The idea of ​​this project comes from the very popular mechanical keyboard with its own RGB lighting. Every time we press a key, there will be a different Light response effects. So I came up with the idea of ​​digitizing my childhood game of chess. This project has the following characteristics:

  • It can simulate a variety of game chess modes, such as backgammon, whack-a-mole, flying chess, beast chess, and even board games such as Go and Monopoly.
  • The digital game board consists of 15*15 touch buttons with built-in RGB lights. Each RGB light can be controlled individually, and there is no conflict mode input between the keys, achieving maximum flexibility in customization.
  • The digital game board has LCD display function, buzzer prompt function, and menu mode selection function. It supports online switching of multiple games. It also has several user buttons to support multi-player game mode.

Advantages of this project

  • The game board is composed of physical buttons that are actually controllable and feedbackable, and is also equipped with LED lighting, which enhances the user's sense of use and immersion during the game.
  • The game board has good applicability, allowing developers to develop new interesting games based on this board.
  • The game board can jump out of the application category of "games". Developers can create colorful lighting and button application effects based on this board. It is a free creation platform similar to a drawing board and has certain educational significance.
