DC-DC chip MCP19035-AAABE/MF
Module description:
Input and output are binding posts.
By default, SHDN pulls the module high to start, and a jumper short-circuited to ground shuts down.
Input voltage 4.5V-30V
The output voltage is fixed at 5V
Can output current 10A (more than 5A requires enhanced heat dissipation)
Switching operating frequency 300kHz
Quiescent current 36ma
EN short circuit shuts down the module
Load test output efficiency:
1A (85%), 2A (90%), 3A (91.1%),
4A (91.4%), 5A (91.2%)
The MCP19035 is an application-optimized high-speed synchronous buck controller that operates from input voltage sources up to 30V.
The controller implements a voltage-mode control architecture using a fixed switching frequency of 300 kHz.
High switching frequency facilitates the use of smaller passive components, including inductors and input/output capacitors, resulting in compact, high-performance power solutions.
The MCP19035 implements an adaptive anti-cross-conduction scheme to prevent shoot-through problems in external power MOSFETs.
In addition, the MCP19035 provides multiple dead-time options to support more degrees of optimization, allowing for more efficient power supply designs.
The MCP19035 controller is designed for applications providing up to 20A output current over a wide input voltage range up to 30V.
The SHDN input turns the device on and off. When turned off, current consumption is minimized.
The MCP19035 provides a power good indicator (PWRGD) for fault detection and simplified sequence control.
