VPS8703 test board

Overview
VPS8703 is a transformer driver specially designed for micro-power isolated power supplies with small size and low standby power consumption. Its peripherals only need to be matched with simple input and output filter capacitors, isolation transformers and rectifier circuits to achieve an input voltage of 6.5~30V , isolated power supply with multiple output voltages and output power up to 15W. VPS8703 internally integrates two N-channel power MOSFETs and two P-channel power MOSFETs, and forms a bridge connection. The integrated oscillator inside the chip provides a pair of high-precision complementary signals, which can effectively ensure the high symmetry of the two power MOSFET drives and prevent the circuit from working.
Magnetization occurs during the process.
VPS8703 integrates frequency modulation function and multiple protection methods. Frequency adjustment can be achieved according to different application requirements. At the same time, a high-precision dead zone control circuit is designed internally to ensure that no common phenomenon occurs under various working conditions; over-current detection protection and over-temperature protection are integrated to avoid short circuit at the switching power supply output. Damage the device under abnormal circumstances.
Because the full-bridge topology is bipolar polarization, the design of the transformer is also extremely simple. It only needs to be calculated according to the volt-second balance theorem. The number of primary side turns can be calculated according to the following formula:
Among them, Dmax is the maximum pulse width, which is 1 in the full-bridge topology, ΔB is the saturation magnetic flux of the transformer in T, and Ae is the effective area of the transformer core in square centimeters.
