Overview

### 3. Product Overview
Mainly for DIY enthusiasts, it provides a cool cyber ring that can be used as a product with the following features:
1. Low cost, with a total price of around 100 yuan;
2. Using ESP8266 as the main control chip, the main control board is only 3cm×5cm in size, which is very small;
3. The main control board has two USBs, which are used as input and output respectively. The MicroUSB is used for downloading programs, serial port debugging and charging lithium batteries, and the Type-A female socket is used for waiting output;
4. It has a CH340 serial port to USB circuit, which is used to download programs or for serial port debugging;
5. Onboard TP4056, used to charge lithium batteries;
6. The light board does not use the interface that needs to be welded on the market, and uses the MicroUSB port for power supply/communication;

1. After getting the PCB and components, you need to weld according to the BOM, weld the battery, and note that the battery size is 25mm×25mm×5mm, then use arduino to compile the program, connect the main control board with a data cable, burn the program, and the code file has been placed in the attachment;
2. Use a screwdriver to fix the main control board in the Led_Clock_Bottom_Box box, use M3 or M2.8 screws, the structure file is in the attached printout compressed package, which includes the lampshade and lamp backplane, base shell and cover;
3. Install the lampshade and base box, and connect the base to the light board via USB.

### **VII. Supplementary Note**
ESP8266, as we all know, is an entry-level chip in the IoT circle. It can be used to make a simple crawler, WiFi communication, and IoT devices to make a simple minimum system, and then develop various functions. This design uses ESP8266 as the main control chip and the ring WS2812 as the peripheral to design this full-color LED clock. The whole machine is divided into two boards, namely the LED control board and a ring LED light board, as shown in the figure below.
![PCBA board.jpg] On the main control board, in order to facilitate the emission of electromagnetic waves, a square notch is opened to ensure the communication quality of ESP8266. The entire main control board contains two USB interfaces, namely the MicroUSB female socket and the Type-A female socket, which are used as input and output respectively. The CH340 circuit is designed on the back of the board for downloading programs and serial debugging codes. At the same time, a lithium battery welding port and a TP4056 charging module are added to ensure that the device can work without connecting to USB.
The light board only contains 60 WS2812 and a USB for power supply and input signal. The whole
machine is as shown below after powering on:
![Function interface.jpg] In addition to the hardware part of the circuit, I also designed a special structure to make the whole device more beautiful. The following figure shows the 3D image of the lampshade of the light board.

![Lampshade front.png] In addition to the lampshade, the shell of the main control board is also designed to fix the main control board. The main control board can be fixed in the shell by four M3 screws.
![Master control box.png] After soldering the PCB and 3D printing the shell, assemble everything and you will get the effect shown in the figure below. The connector in the middle is a Micro USB to USB2.0 male to male converter.
