MPPT controller 100V40A_VS1

Overview
I. Brief Description of Principles
1. The controller uses ESP32-S3 as the main controller, and the interfaces are reserved as follows:
     (1) SPI display interface is reserved for connecting the display screen.
     (2) NTC thermistor interface is used to detect the operating temperature of the power board.
     (3) 12V fan interface can be connected to a fan for heat dissipation.
     (4) Button interface can be connected to external input buttons such as EC11.
     (5) I2C interface can be connected to I2C peripherals, such as touch screens.
     (6) UART can be used for flashing firmware or communicating with other modules.
     (7) TYPE-C interface can be used to enter DFU mode to flash firmware for easy debugging.

2. The power board uses surface-mount MOSFETs, ideal diodes and other main components. The main function of the power board is to BUCK the power module. The power board uses relatively common components to facilitate DIY to achieve the desired effect.

II. Finished Product Display
1. The core board adopts LCSC immersion gold process.

2. The core board after soldering

is shown below: 3. Power board using through-hole inductors:
4. Power board using surface-mount inductors:
5. Power board back view. To handle larger currents, please use soldering or a similar method as in this project.
6. Combined display as follows:

III. Testing
        1. Voltage test: The highest voltage tested so far is 88V, and the test runs normally.
       2. Current overcurrent design: 40A. 20A has been tested and passed. Currently, due to the lack of a larger current source for testing, a larger current test has not been conducted; this will be followed up later.
       3. All interfaces on the core board function normally, and all functional modules (ADC, display, buttons, clock module, buzzer, etc.) are working normally.
       4. Due to limitations, photovoltaic panel testing, power ripple, and charging efficiency were not conducted.
       5. The load test method used a resistance wire of approximately 5mΩ.
       6. The video demonstration effect is for reference only. The ADC algorithm has not been calibrated and differs from the actual performance. The video has been sped up.

IV. About Firmware.
       1. It is recommended to develop your own firmware.
       2. If you want to test the firmware, you can join group 838630818 to download it. The firmware is for testing purposes only and is not open source.
