This reference design is used for LED backlight driving of TFT displays. The input electrical requirements and output characteristics are as follows:
V IN : 8V DC (1.667A) to 18V DC (730mA); withstands 50V DC transients
PWM IN : 250Hz pulse train; 2µs (min) pulse; greater than 3.3V DC at 0mA; less than 0.3V DC at 10mA
V LED configuration: 6 or 8 LEDs (2.89V DC to 4.2V DC ) in series (34V DC , maximum); three series in parallel, each string current 150mA
