The smart temperature transmitter evaluation kit has the characteristics of high accuracy, signal isolation, LCD display, support for HART protocol, loop power supply, interface protection, etc. This platform is mainly based on ADI's multi-channel ADC with self-checking function and EPSON's Ultra-low power consumption 16-bit MCU implementation. The main IC of this design uses ADC7124-4, which integrates a 24-bit Σ-ΔADC, buffer and PGA (programmable gain amplifier). The transmitter can convert the temperature (standard thermal resistance or thermocouple) signal into a 4-20mA signal, which is output by the power supply loop.
