At present, digital predistortion technology has become a mainstream technology for improving the efficiency of power amplifiers and is widely used in mobile communication systems. The efficiency of the traditional 3G air interface LDMOS power amplifier is only about 15%. Using digital predistortion technology can increase the efficiency to about 45%, which can save considerable costs for a huge base station network.
The high-performance digital predistortion platform provided by ADI includes a transmit link and a predistortion receive link. The main components are:
