product description
The BM3451 series is a professional 3/4/5-cell rechargeable battery protection chip with high integration characteristics. It is suitable for power tools and electric automatic batteries.
Driving and UPS backup power supply, etc.
BM3451 realizes battery overcharge, overdischarge, discharge overcurrent, etc. by detecting the voltage, charge and discharge current, and ambient temperature of each battery.
Protection functions such as short circuit, charging overcurrent, and temperature protection can be used to adjust overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection delays through external capacitors.
BM3451 provides a battery capacity balancing function to eliminate the capacity differences of each battery in the battery pack and extend the life of the battery pack.
BM3451 can realize cascading of multiple chips to protect 6 or more battery packs.

·Overcharge detection voltage 3.6 V ~ 4.6 V accuracy ±25 mV (+25℃)
Accuracy ±40 mV (-40℃ to +85℃)
·Overcharge hysteresis voltage 0.1 V, accuracy ±50 mV
·Over-discharge detection voltage 1.6 V ~ 3.0 V accuracy ±80 mV
·Over-discharge hysteresis voltage 0 / 0.2 / 0.4 V accuracy ±100 mV
⑵ 3-stage discharge overcurrent detection function;
·Overcurrent detection voltage 1 0.025 V ~ 0.30 V (50 mV step) Accuracy ±15 mV
·Overcurrent detection voltage 2 0.2/0.3/0.4/0.6 V
·Short circuit detection voltage 0.8/1.2 V
⑶ Charging overcurrent detection function;
Charging overcurrent detection voltage -0.03/-0.05/-0.1/-0.15/-0.2 V
⑷ Can be applied to 3/4/5 battery packs;
⑸ The delay is externally adjustable;
·Set the detection delay time of overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent 1, and overcurrent 2 by changing the size of the external capacitor
⑹ Built-in balance control terminal;
⑺ The charging and discharging status can be controlled through external signals;
⑻ The maximum output voltage of the charge and discharge control terminal is 12 V;
⑼ Temperature protection function;
⑽ Disconnection protection function;
⑾ Low power consumption;
