Overview

Turnkey reference design kit for low voltage, high performance, high efficiency and high speed PMSM/BLDC motor drive applications is a reference design kit using the IMC101T iMOTION controller, 2ED2304 SOI half-bridge gate driver and BSC030N04NS OptiMOS. This reference design kit showcases our thin-film SOI and advanced motion control engine (MCE 2.0) technology enabling drive speeds up to 120KRPM for low-voltage permanent magnet motors, while the inverter section is rated up to 30 V and 25 A. It has been optimized for low voltage appliances such as vacuum cleaners, fans, pumps, compressors and other low voltage motor drive applications.

Anti-reverse connection protection
VSP speed command potentiometer
3 digital Hall interfaces
User UART for script functions
Over current and over temperature protection
Fault diagnosis LED output
Low Noise Single Shunt Current Sampling
Auxiliary power supply adopts 12V, 3.3V
Board size: 60 mm × 115 mm, 1oz copper thickness, 2-layer PCB (or, without fan: 60 mm × 63.5 mm)

Main features of 2ED2304S06F
- Infineon Thin Film SOI Technology
- Fully supports +650 V bias voltage
- Integrated ultra-fast, low on-resistance bootstrap diode
- Output source/sink capability is +0.36 A/-0.7 A
- Withstands negative transient voltages up to -100 V (pulse width increased by 300 ns) due to SOI technology
- Gate drive voltage range is 10 to 20 V
- Independent undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for both channels
- Short propagation delay and delay matching (60 ns maximum)
- Schmitt trigger input with hysteresis and pull-down
- 3 V, 5 V and 15 V input logic compatible

- Highly integrated variable frequency drive solution
  - Integrates all digital and analog components
  - No external op amp or comparator required
  - 3 V or 5 V supply voltage
- Next generation motion control engine (MCE 2.0)
  - Mature calculation engine for high-efficiency sine wave motor control
  - Single resistor or bridge arm resistance sampling
  - Sensorless or optional Hall sensor support
  - Flexible host interface/control options
- Integrated protection features
- Multi-motor support with flexible parameter processing features
Main features of BSC030N04NS G
- Excellent gate charge x RDS(on) product (FOM)
- On-resistance RDS(on) is very small
- Suitable for fast switching applications
- RoHS compliant—halogen-free
