Overview
The following are some of my insights during the debugging process: After half an hour of testing, I found that in order to connect the arcs, it is necessary to concentrate high power to break down the air at the moment of ignition. After the breakdown, only a smaller power is required. After maintaining the arc, the next step is to adjust the power. Adjusting the power is nothing more than adjusting the frequency and duty cycle of the pwm. In the test, the frequency range was 10khz~25khz, and the duty cycle was fixed at 60%. The obtained rule is frequency The lower the frequency, the greater the power. That is to say, the lower the frequency, the easier it is to penetrate the air. However, one thing to note is that the instantaneous high power can easily trigger lithium battery protection. So the final determined parameters are: 50ms before power on, use 12khz 60% duty cycle to break down the air, then switch to 20khz 60% duty cycle to maintain the arc. As for why 20khz is used to maintain the arc, because the human hearing frequency limit is 20khz Left and right, if it is too small, you will hear noise, if it is too big, you will not be able to maintain the arc.
