As shown in the figure, this is a multiplication detection circuit. This circuit is a single-sideband amplitude modulation signal detector. Its demodulation principle is to multiply the received single-sideband (SSB) signal with the transmission carrier restored by the receiving end to complete the demodulation work. The integrated block MC1496 in the figure is a balanced modulator and demodulator. The output voltage of the circuit is the product of the input voltage signal and the switching function provided by the carrier. The sensitivity of this circuit when working at a 9MHz intermediate frequency is 3μV and the dynamic range is 90dB.
