Against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global business environment and continuous upgrades in the dimensions of corporate competition, employer brand influence, organizational resilience, and social value contribution have become key indicators for measuring a company's core competitiveness. Recently, HRoot, a leading human resources media and professional services company in China, officially unveiled the 2025 HRoot "Human Resources Management Excellence List." Avnet China, with its outstanding performance in employer brand building, talent ecosystem development, and social responsibility practices, won two prestigious awards : "2025 Best Employers" and "2025 Best Social Enterprises," further confirming its leading position in talent management and social value practice in the Asia-Pacific region.

The HRoot Awards were highly competitive, with the "Outstanding Social Enterprise" category attracting 459 entries, of which only 15 were awarded; the "Outstanding Employer" category drew 423 entries, with 59 ultimately selected. The awards ceremony was held on December 12, 2025, at the Shanghai Tower. Grace Dong, President of Avnet China, attended and accepted the awards on behalf of the company.

Looking back at its past performance, Avnet China has received high recognition from the HRoot Awards multiple times: Outstanding Employer (2022) and Outstanding Social Enterprise (2021, 2023, 2024), and achieved double honors in 2025. This continuous trajectory of honors also demonstrates Avnet China's long-term commitment to employer branding and building social value.

Talent at its core: Building a warm and welcoming employer ecosystem

Avnet China has always regarded "talent competitiveness" as a key engine for corporate development. Around strategic goals and business needs, it has built a full-cycle talent management system encompassing "attracting, motivating, retaining, and developing" talent.

In terms of corporate culture development, Avnet China regularly conveys its core values through a multi-channel matrix including onboarding training, internal digital platforms, WeChat official accounts, and culture walls; it has established a closed-loop mechanism for employee engagement surveys, collecting feedback annually and optimizing management measures accordingly. Regarding work arrangements, it implements a flexible work mechanism combining four flexible shifts with one day of remote work per week, effectively supporting employees in achieving a work-life balance.

In terms of talent management and development, Avnet China has established a highly systematic talent mechanism oriented towards long-term development:

▎Performance and Development: We adopt the Workday Continuous Performance Management System, which replaces the traditional single scoring model with goal consensus and real-time feedback, thereby stimulating employees' intrinsic motivation and creating a high-performance culture;

▎Compensation and Promotion: Standardized management is achieved through the Global Job Architecture, with salaries for key positions benchmarked against industry market levels, and a 3-5 year long-term talent retention plan is launched;

▎Employee Care: Since 2016, we have introduced a confidential EAP (Employee Assistance Program) covering mental health support. We have also established a 24-hour ethics hotline, a zero-tolerance policy for workplace harassment, and a variety of health programs such as health lectures, health journals, and the "Million Steps Challenge" to ensure the physical and mental health of our employees and improve their experience.

▎Learning and Leadership: Integrating offline courses, LinkedIn Learning, and internal knowledge sharing mechanisms to build an integrated matrix; since 2003, we have been working closely with DDI to implement multi-level, tiered, and categorized leadership training, committed to the continuous growth of employees.

The employee engagement survey results show that Avnet China's employee engagement scores have consistently exceeded the industry's high-performance benchmark. The company has innovatively implemented a two-stage interview mechanism, "at the time of departure + 6 months after departure," to continuously calibrate corporate culture and employee experience through reverse review, and build an organizational system with self-evolution capabilities.

Responsibility as the Foundation: Integrating Social Responsibility into the Development Gene

As a company recognized as an "Outstanding Social Enterprise" for many consecutive years, Avnet China has always regarded social responsibility as a core component of its corporate culture.

For 12 consecutive years, we have participated in the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Race, a charity event with over 900 participants. We support charity through running.

For six consecutive years (2020–2025), we have funded the Wuhan Linjie Autism Center, benefiting more than 2,000 children through donations of money and goods, and organizing activities such as art exhibitions, mini-marathons, and fun hikes, thus safeguarding the special needs of this group.

For three consecutive years, we have made targeted purchases of tea from Yunnan Province to support rural revitalization through consumption and build a bridge for mutual assistance between urban and rural areas.

The company regularly organizes blood donation drives for its employees in four cities: Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong, with a total blood donation of over 70,000 milliliters, using love to sustain life.

Donating 57 computers to support rural education and cultural development in Hainan;

Deeply committed to environmental protection practices, since 2021, more than 900 volunteers have been organized to plant more than 800 trees in multiple cities, and regular beach, mountain and park cleaning activities have been carried out to promote the concept of green development.

These practices not only demonstrate Avnet China's long-term commitment to society, but also enable employees to develop a strong sense of value and organizational cohesion through genuine participation.

Conclusion

Grace Dong, President of Avnet China, stated, “We are very proud that Avnet China has once again received these two honors, which represent recognition of Avnet China’s commitment to corporate and employer responsibility. We will continue to focus on talent and social value, building a more cohesive corporate ecosystem that is focused on serving China’s long-term development strategy.” Looking ahead, Avnet China will uphold its development philosophy, optimize its employer brand, deepen its social responsibility practices, and continue to contribute to industry and social progress.
