Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal measurement systems record the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time by measuring the surface potential of living tissue. By placing biopotential electrodes on specific parts of the body to detect signals from the heart, the differential voltage between two electrodes or between an electrode and the average voltage of multiple electrodes can be measured and displayed as a channel on the ECG output.
The traditional electrocardiograph signal chain uses AC coupling and hardware high and low pass filtering. This design uses DC coupling and uses 8 instrumentation amplifiers to amplify the signals of 8 channels. The 8-channel signals are switched through an 8-way multiplexer and then enter the ADC. ADC The sampling results are sent to the DSP for processing, the filtering is implemented in the DSP by software, and the processed signals are sent to the PC through UART or USB for display.
This design is used for the measurement of 12-lead DC-coupled ECG signals, and implements functions such as lead off signal detection, pacing signal detection, 50Hz/60Hz notch selection, and high-pass filter cutoff frequency selection.
