Maxim's MAXREFDES82# provides a new generation of industrial, smart pressure sensor solutions. The MAXREFDES82# is equipped with four load cells and uses a multi-channel, 24-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to detect the weight and center of gravity of objects on the flat panel. The scale provides full scale response up to 780g. The user interface displays the tablet's center of gravity and measured total weight in real time. In addition to being a smart pressure sensor, the design is also ideal for touch screen interfaces with pressure detection capabilities. During normal operation, the system current consumption is less than 50mA; a USB interface is provided for quick evaluation and integration.
The circuit board design is compact for quick evaluation or installation. For more information about the reference design, visit the Details tab. Design files and firmware can be downloaded from the Design Resources tab.
