High Efficiency 65W USB-C Dual Port Charger Reference Design with ATQ Transformer The reference design REF_65W_2C_GAN_PAG1 is developed for USB-PD multi-port charger applications with a wide input range and output voltage from 3.3V to 21V. Each USB-C port has an output power of 65W, while the total output power of the two USB-C ports is 65W, which can be dynamically shared based on the connected devices. It uses Infineon's EZ-PD™ PAG1P/PAG1S controllers as the primary and secondary controllers, EZ-PD™ CCG7DC controller as PD and DCDC controller, CoolGaN™ 600 V GIT HEMT as the main switch, OptiMOS™ N-channel MOSFET as the SR switch, OptiMOS™ 6 as the DCDC switch, and BSZ0902NS OptiMOS™ as the VBUS switch. The board has a size of 56 mm × 27 mm × 33 mm and a power density of 21.34 W/in³. The board meets the efficiency requirements of the US Department of Energy Level VI. This design features an ATQ transformer, providing high efficiency operation at full load, peaking at 92+%.
